"Leveraging my experience to uplift my peers"
Computer Science Background

Through my various internships and studies at Clemson, I gained proficiency in multiple coding languages while developing my skills as a leader. My junior and senior years I was elected as secretary for Clemson’s Cyber Defense Club, CUCyber. While acting in this role, I increased the club’s membership, quality of communication, and revenue. I even lead the organization of the first ever multi-university cybersecurity competition on Clemson’s campus.

Cybersecurity Experience at Visa

I was hired straight out of college by Visa to work as a cybersecurity engineer. My normal work included penetration testing both web and mobile applications. My responsibilities quickly grew to include teaching others and most notably, creating the security policies and standards for all Visa offices in regards to IoT devices. This involved the consistent coordination of communication between various teams both internal and external to Visa.

  • Protect the integrity of user data
    I bring the unique perspective of a cybersecurity expert to the role of webmaster. This means I will champion the protection of all data used for communication
  • Ensure accessibility in the design and use of digital resources
    Accessibility means more than making sure the website has a dark mode. It means all platforms used for communication have as few barriers for use as possible. I aim to make sure no disabilities are overlooked when it comes to our digital experiences
  • Optimize existing architecture
    Given my background in web application development, I plan to analyze our current architecture and identify opportunities to improve resource availability while lowering costs
  • Provide timely support
    I will work closely with my peers and class representatives to make sure online resources are updated frequently and accurately. Furthermore; I will be available to support any IT/AV related projects
